Hi,

I've reset my 1.2F RB in a square cushion thinking that I'd wear it more. But i find myself picking the bigger solitaire everytime. The F stone is so beautiful. It has a 56% table and a tall crown. I don't want to leave it in the jewelry box so I'm thinking about making it into a 3-stone. Would like to ask what would be good proportion of the side stones to a 6.8mm center? I am a size 6 1/4 and I do want maximum coverage without overwhelming the center. I want to show off the 1.2F. What do you think?

Thanks!

Proportions are largely a personal thing. Some people like the stones to look almost the same size, others want more of a contrast. It also depends on how big your finger is, what angle the side stones are set at, etc.

I would start here:

You could always choose a vendor that has the setting you like, and have them help you. They do this for a living, and often have the right eye for what looks good in person, and can take some pictures and maybe videos to help you see what it looks like.

Exactly what I need. Thank you ecf8503. I am leaning towards a 62-65% diameter so that would mean 4.3mm.

THANKS!
