I''ve been reading the numerous 4 prong versus 6 prong debates (my favorite solution was the 5 prong compromise ; )...
But I haven''t found any mention of this dilemna for a 3 stone ring (especially a RB with pear sides).
Do the side stones help secure the center stone if the stones are tightly set in a custom setting?
In this case, is a 3-stone ring with a 4 prong setting safer than a solitare with a 4 prong setting?
Any thoughts??
Thanks for any advice/experience/expertise!!
