3 options, all same price ... which one?

I am still trying to organise my new "eternity" or stacking band but can''t decide between:

Full eternity therefore no option to resize in future, all white diamonds
Full eternity with white diamonds and alternating pink sapphires (light pink is my preference)
Or half eternity, with white and PINK diamonds alternating.

The style is like the Tiffany Swing - a marquise shape alternating with bezel round brilliant. Now I think of it, I first started this project because I found a half eternity style I loved, all marquise shape across the top. Perhaps I have my own answer ... but your thoughts are still welcome please!

I''ve never thought that eternity rings are necessary because really who sees the back of your hands?

So given those 3 choices, I would go for the half eternity with the white and pink diamonds. I LOVE pink diamonds!!!

It seems like I am in the minority here... but my vote is... full eternity with white diamonds and alternating pink sapphires. I just love the look of a full eternity with sapphires. You could always go custom by adding a sizing bar or circle in case you need to resize in the future.

Wow, that''s a pretty strong vote for 1/2 with pinks ... thanks everyone. You''re awesome! Funnily, I finally asked my DH (who is so over hearing about diamonds, rings and jewellery in general) and he said knowing me he definitely thinks the pinks. This is a replacement for my original wedder, which I had remade and although I love the new one I really miss the sentimentality of the original wedder, so this is like a second chance! The pinks will only be small, with slightly larger ACA whites in the round bezel mount. Because the pinks wont be as good cut I think it''s better to have them as the smaller, so they''ll just add a smidge of colour. I could do sapphires but I''m just worried how they''ll last over a lifetime, whereas a diamond is forever ... "they" say.

So, as for the suggestions of 3/4 I would absolutely totally love this option however I''m going with an Adwar setting to keep the price down and unfortunately they only do a half or full, no inbetween, on this particular style. I have truly looked and looked and looked at other options but because my ER is a princess cut, the only thing that seems to soften the look of it is the alternating marquise. Mostly actually though, I plan to wear this ring with my other remade wedder, just stacking them together.

So, as soon as I get some traction on this project I will be sure to let you all see how it''s going.

Hey Beechezz, I just saw this ages later of course. I am waiting for my new band, which will have pink sapphires and white diamonds alternating in the original Adwar setting I was looking at. It will be full eternity which is where the trade off came, I could ahve done half with pink diamonds but not sure how nice the colour would have been for my price range. This way it will be something unique to everything else I own, and I just hope the sapphires will last and also not date. I will post pics of course once its completed. For now, all I haveis photos of the sapphires and the unpolished band but that''s really not much to look at!

It sounds so beautiful that I wish to have one for myself, too.

Please tell. What is the spec? Size of melees? Cut type, color, and clarity of meless? Approximate cost?
