Hi All,

I am more of a lurker on here....but I had to ask for your advice on this one! I turn 30 in December and have been after a diamond bangle/bracelet for a while now. Originally, I had my heart set on the 1.5 carat WF shared prong bangle...I am now thinking of 2 options:

1. Shared prong bangle but diamonds the whole way round

2. 3 carat diamond tennis bracelet.

At this point I am VERY confused as to which one to go for. I have no other wrist diamond jewellery.

Any pros/cons of the above options or genearal guidance would be hugely appreciated!

Am attaching some pics of the types of bracelets/bangles I like:

Bangles drive me nuts so I vote tennis bracelet.

One pic!

i feel like the diamonds would wind up at the bottom with that bangle?

2nd pic :)

You gals are fab replies already :) With the bangle I would want the diamonds the whole way around and have it made to fit my wrist....

I haven''t worn a bangle as such before only bracelets so defo need views on whether it would clank too much!

I think you would get more wear out of the tennis bracelet. I have a bangle and a tennis bracelet. I hardly ever wear the bangle as I work in an office and it always is beating on my desk. However, I wear the tennis bracelet everyday!

Yeah I have very small wrists and bangles drive me nuts. I vote for custom sized.

Also a few people have mentioned to me that the diamond bangle is the new teniis bracelet...any thoughts on this?

the clanking of bangles drives me nuts - especially while typing or writing at a desk - I vote for the tennis bracelet

Wife''s, approx 3.70 tcw tennis bracelet, hope this is helpful

Thank you for all the replies...defo leaning toward the tennis bracelet...Bosie could you please give me a rough idea of the price of the bracelet you posted it is beautiful!h

Have you tried both on? Seein them on the wrist is key.

I'd personally rather have larger individual melee in any piece... so whichever gives you larger diamonds gets my vote.

kama_s has that bangle! Maybe post a thread titled "Calling Kama_s!" in hangout and link this thread.... I rarely see her here in RT.

Another vote for the tennis bracelet, bangles irriate me too!

Thanks for pointing me to this thread, DD :)

Twitspie: I have a 1.5ct shared prong bracelet from WF. HERE is the thread with more pics and info. I would strongly recommend the bangle. It''s classy, yet can be dressed up or down. I realize you would want the diamonds to go all around, but given the oval shape of the bangle, it really does not flip much at all. 99% of the time my bangle stays put facing forwards. It''s very comfortable to wear and rarely ''clanks''.

Let me know if you have any other questions for me!

ETA: Sorry, just realized you probably have already seen my thread on the bangle, since I think that WF picture you put up earlier was taken from my thread! Anyways, let me know if you have any other Q''s I can help you with.

I think oval bangles are a lovely trend

Another vote for the classic tennis bracelet.

Both are pretty but the tennis bracelet wins for me. I find it more versatile and you can wear it dressed up or down. Bangles are fun too but if you are only getting one .. go for the tennis bracelet.

Hi,

Thanks for the input everyone, I haven''t tried on the bangle/bracelet so I guess that is next!

Kama_s thanks for the input - the bangle looks beautiful on you!

I think right now I am leaning toward the tb!

Does anyone know of any delicate looking settings?

I would recommend THIS three prong tennis bracelet by Brian Gavin Diamonds. It has very little metal, the diamonds look like they''re floating on your wrist!

Twitspie, not comfortable quoting price, please call Lesley at BGD

I will do Bosie - thanks.

Kama_s you are incredibly helpful will chekc the thread out - good point about the 2 prong now being as secure...

I would worry about the security of the diamonds in a two prong as well. A bracelet I think will get a fair bit of wear on the prongs, from cothing and from resting your wrists on things. So I would feel better with three prongs are least.
