Another option for the knife edge would be to eliminate it on the underside. I loved a setting but was worried about the comfort of the knife edge....so I had it made knife edge on top and it transitions to domed on the underside. It is the best of both worlds.

Great thinking outside of the box! Do you happen to have a side view of the ring to visually show this? I appreciate your help!
