3.66 carat color shift spinel in halo

Won the stone and ring both on auction. There are some inclusions in the spinel, but I cannot see them with my naked eye. The luster and crystal of the stone is amazing, and it actually does a great job refracting light. In artificial light, it looks like a deep rich violet tanzanite, and flashes of blue and red come out of it (bottom photo). The mount is lanbo, and I won it on one of his rare auctions.

I also wanted to add two more photos of some of my favorite rings. I can't believe how this stone performs in the light sometimes, it's like kryptonite, and my mahenge just makes me so happy.

Crikey TL don't compare yours to that awful ring. Your spinel out-shines that horrible sapphire any day! Nice buying Mrs!

I just wanted to add a few more photos. I was waiting in a doctor's office, and the lighting there were those pinpoint hallogens. I loved the sparkle and red flash, but my camera cannot capture the dispersion. It did capture the blue flash however. That little pink triangle in the stone at the top photo was very red when I took the photo.
