Hello! So I confess to being a lurkier on and off for about six months now and since this is my first post I want to start of by saying how impressed I am by the willingness of everyone on this forum to help out one another and trade honest information and advice (particularly all the experts). I haven''t needed it up till now since I haven''t been in the position to actually make or even investigate any big jewellery purchases -- but it''s made for fun reading and education!
Until I got engaged in December I confess I paid absolutely zero attention to diamonds other than to note their shape and size. But I have since fallen in love with my own ring (if one can fall "in love" with jewellery) and have become really interested in them! Since my fiance was like me (not diamond savy) it''s no PS-standard diamond, but he designed the setting himself and it turns out he''d been listening over the years and took into account every last detail of what I had described as my "dream ring". And I think my stone is very unique and am thrilled overall!
But now that I do have PS information I want to use it for the next and really fun part ! WEDDING BANDS!
From what I''ve read in previous posts on this board, I join many others who thought they wanted a wedding band to match their e-ring and then saw what a shared prong eternity band looked like on my finger and went ---AAAAHHHHHH!!!! WOW! Thank god I''ve got two hands!
Now my dilemma is this -- I don''t love the look of half eternity bands from the side but I also don''t want to get a full eternity because I am basically positive my ring size is going to change in the next 5 years or so...I''m a 4.5 right now but that''s only to get rings over my knuckles...after kids I''m willing to bet that goes up at least half a size because that''s what my mother''s did after she had me and it went up again after my sister. I don''t want to have to replace my wedding band. The trouble is I can''t seem to find vendors that carry them. It seems like it''s full, half, or having to get something custom made to be a 3/4...any suggestions for me please? Thanks!
