Okay so I had booked Sherrie Long for my hair and makeup, months ago. I liked her experience, she had strong reviews and was (for what she does) priced okay.
Sherrie did a great job on my eye makeup and though she doesn't do airbrushing did a pretty nice job on my face. And really did exactly what I asked. But... something didn't click for me. Plus, my hair, didn't look the way I wanted, I wasn't sure if it was because of execution or the style. And while she was nice, like I said... that click wasn't there. I have a strong personality and I got the impression that while Sherrie does too, she was wary of giving a bride her honest opinion and feedback. Maybe she's dealt with too many bridezillas, which of course is possible, and she was afraid I would turn into one. But regardless, after the trial she made some comments on things she'd like to change... and I was left wondering why she didn't just bring them up while we were doing the work, and show me how she'd change things.
SO... I talked to my photographer and showed her the pics from that trail, and we talked. And again, Maria Chang from PMA's name came up. Her services are very pricey, and she isn't available to do anything but 'bride only' on the day of my wedding so I never followed up with her. Until this week. Well, I had my trial with her and... OMG. She is the best. She's so much more than a makeup artist and hair dresser. She's a wedding day coordinator, your insurance policy and loves brides and weddings, and is so together. She will stay with me for 7 hours! Right up until the cocktail hour, through all the major pics, will help me dress, make sure everything is on time... I cannot say enough about the woman.
I'm so excited she is doing my wedding!!! I HIGHLY suggest giving her a call if you are looking for an amazing makeup artist. She is so knowledgable and professional. Will give you her opinion, and do her best to balance her knowledge with your 'vision.' She rocks.
Here are a few pics. The makeup is airbrushed, and OMG what difference that makes.
I am going to change my hairstyle (I'll post a pic of what I want) ... but it's because I just don't like the look on me, not because of execution (I ran out of time and had a meeting so she couldn't fix the lumps on top of my head like she wanted). And it stayed in my hair for HOURS without budging. All the curls just stayed set. And so did the makeup.
My brows aren't plucked (still growing them in) and we'll do a the brows slightly darker I think on the day of.
But... here are some pics. HONEST (but polite, please this is the first time I'm posting my face) opinions are welcome!

But as you mentioned the only thing Id do diff is the eyebrows a tad darker
