Would really appreciate opinions. I have a 2ct oval diamond. I love the Scott Kay M1062RDPP. Sorry don''t know how to attach a photo or make a link. They come in different ct siizes. Pearlman''s has one on their website #33UI with .75ct. My questions:

1. Would the oval look ok with round pave/bead side diamonds?

2. There is the same ring with .67ct on the Scott Kay site. Would the smaller size be ok with the scale of my center diamond?

3. Would the above look ok with the matching wedding band?

Thanks so much. I''ve been looking forever and always seem to come back to this setting.

is this it?

Yup! That''s it! I love the way the side diamonds are set. Haven''t seen anything that even closely resembles it. Think my oval would be ok with that setting? Thanks for the reply!

i think an oval would look lovely in that setting.

sure....your oval would look great in that setting. small bead set rounds in a solitaire setting lends itself well to almost any shape. they add a nice bit of sparkle to the classic solitaire.

i would highly recommend a 6prong setting for an oval however. especially a large oval. for the safety of the stone it is almost imperative and for such a large size, i think it looks better aesthetically. unfortunately, i''m not sure you will be able to get a 6prong head with that scott kay though. you could certainly find a similar bead set solitaire with a 6prong head, but it may not be exactly like the scott kay.

I adore that setting and think your oval would look terrific in it!!!

I tried that setting on and I think your oval would look great in it!

ETA: I think which ct wt setting to choose would depend on the look you want to achieve. The higher ct wt one is a more substantial setting, where the less ctwt one (which I don't remember what the actual ct wt is) will give a more delicate look. I tried both on when I was looking at settings for my 1.04ct round. I thought the more delicate one showed off my diamond more, but it is a lot smaller than yours.
