Hi
I recently had a friend purchase a gold bracelet for me when she visited India, reason being I wanted something different, it's 22kt and I paid a fraction for the labor to produce it. My wife unfortunately didn't like it, and I am thinking what's the best approach moving forward. I think i have a few options: sell it for scrap gold and recover most of the money or have it made into another piece. What are people's thoughts?

Thanks!
Mark

sell it on pricescope?
post a picture.....hate to see it go for scrap if the work is good.

Make it into a different piece. A lot of good metal smiths can work with it. Ask PSERS for references for your location. You can get a lot of jewelry out of 22k because if you are in the US, they will mix it to get it to 18k for increased hardness. I found a guy that I was going to use until I reprioritized the project.

If you live in an area with a lot of Indian jewelry stores see if they would buy it back. If your friend got a good deal in India you may get a good deal or know what the resale value is.
