Al long last, I received my custom cut lab 2.80ct G VS1 Heritage OEC from Distinctive Gems, set in a modified brushed platinum lotus setting designed by Jonathan (@Rhino)

The stone and pave setting are both amazing and totally beyond my expectations. I am so amazed by the detail and the craftsmanship by his master bench. Here are some starter photos, but will definitely add more as my hands heal (knuckles torn up from cleaning dryer lint trap) last week!

Without further ado, my beautiful OEC.
8.86x8.88x5.63 on size 5.5 finger.

Oh wow, this is incredibly beautiful. What an amazing stone and setting. Can you share more photos of the side profile (from one of the cathedrals)?

I requested some modifications from the original Lotus:

1) no claw prongs, I wanted the lotus petals to come to soft point to look more leaf like
2) I wanted slight knife-edge on the shank, and have single milgrain running down the knife edge
3) I wanted a brushed platinum finish to match the “old cut” stone instead of polished.

Gorgeous!! Do you happen to know the height of the stone by chance?

From the base of the bridge to the top of stone, it is 8.5mm

It’s stunning!! Congrats!

Wow!!! Just beautiful!!! What a gorgeous ring to celebrate a milestone anniversary! I think the setting is perfect for this diamond. I also noticed the lovely rose gold bands - and I think it all looks smashing together!

It's so beautiful! I live for the detailing and brushed finish

Wow! Beautiful! Enjoy it and congrats!

Absolutely perfection! Happy Anniversary!

Gorgeous! Happy Anniversary!

Thanks for the additional pictures! I love how elegantly the cathedral melds with the petals, and your stack is just stunning. Happy anniversary!

Ah this is gorgeous! Congratulations!

That’s an amazing stone and setting is to die for!! :kiss2: Wear it in good health & congratulations!!

Perfection, what a :kiss2:  ring

Here is a side by side of my 2 sets:
My natural modern rb 1.81 H SI1 (10 year upgrade), and 7-stone natural diamond F-G ideal cut band (5 year anniversary), next to my new OEC with rose gold Stuller bands.

I don’t need 2 Solitaire type rings, so I’m thinking of making my 1.81 solitaire into a 3-stone RHR. Stay tuned......DA056053-34CD-4131-BFFC-EC39358C3BA0.jpeg

a huge enormous congratulations on such a milestone anniversary!!

and congratulations of your new spectacular and sensational branded oec. one of Jonathan's top of the line branded oec's just can't be beat. i love and appreciate the top of the line light return and performance.

like many others, i too, would select a top premier make old cut like jonathan's oec's over a generic old cut anyday of the week.

good job on the custom cut. and happy anniversary!

It’s so very beautiful! Happy Anniversary!! Enjoy your new gorgeous ring!

Both those sets are so beautiful! I'd wear one on even days and the other on odd days.

It’s gorgeous. Wear in good health and blingy joy @jaysonsmom and happy anniversary ❤️

This is absolutely breathtaking! I love your modifications to the original lotus - congratulations on 20 years!!

So beautiful, I love both your sets! Can I ask how many points the stones are in your 7 stone band? I'm thinking about a possible future eternity band that could go with a possible future 2ct ish solitaire. Trying to decide what size stones would look both substantial but balanced.

My 7-stone is from signed pieces, 0.71ct total so each diamond is about 10 points, all ideal cut so super blingy so even when worn alone it holds its own.

Thank you for all or your well wishes! My 20th anniversary was actually in September, but I didn’t start the project until mid August, because there was a lot of thought that went into getting a ring and setting that was symbolic of our 20 year journey.

I knew my centerstone had to be around 2.81 ct, because my original E-ring was 0.81ct and my husband promised me a carat increase per decade of marriage! Then, once I decided on a custom cut OEC, the lotus setting jumped out at me because the Lotus symbolizes over coming adversity (growing from muddy waters) and growing to something beautiful. My husband and I have gone through some tough times, and came through stronger and more enlightened, like the lotus flower.

Lastly, this is purely coincidental, but did any of our PSers (either those who are into numerology, or understand
Cantonese ) notice the super lucky dimensions of my stone? When the numbers are read in Cantonese, they sound like:

8.86 (prosperity, prosperity, happiness)
8.88 (prosperity, prosperity, prosperity)
5.63 (my happy life)

Anyway, I truly hope this ring symbolizes our future together! I hereby name my ring “Blessings” in the spirit of naming important pieces of jewelry on PS!

Congratulations! What a BEAUTY!!!!
