Iluvdimaonds,

Thank you for your reply. I really want to stay at 1 ct. or greater. I know it may sound shallow, but I know that it will bother me if it is less than 1 ct. If it were up to me I get a 2 CT, but my husband is already pissted at me for wanting a new ring two years after we married. He is from the Midwest and I am from Miami and we have different tastes in diamonds. He thought a simple band would suffice.

Hi!
Don't go by carat weight, go by the millimeters. One of the stones is very close to your size, approx a 6.30-ish in millimeter size.
Plus for the same money you get an excellent cut and 2 grades of a better color, from an I to a G!!! :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:

I have been through back and forth with diamonds and settings for years and after everything I can still say that a beautifully cut diamond that is a white color, like a G for instance, is so eye-catching and that teeny-tiny bit of millimeter isn't noticeable. A beautiful quality diamond is stunning.

Please look at the stones and the GIA certs. Check out this picture of how that stone I found would actually looks on the hand: :read:

Hi, many of us can relate on maximizing size and upgrading diamonds! Stick around here and you'll catch DSS (diamond shrinkage syndrome)!

In order to help you with those two stones, we need all the measurements..table, depth, crown angle, pavilion angle. Those are found on the diagram of the diamond.

The second one is larger so I am hoping it has good measurements!

I dont think I can afford G color, I have a budget of 7200. The setting I want is $2090 (after 20% discount from Pearlmans). I had been told that I color, eye clean with an excellent cut would work well. I need to stay in within my budget.

Here is another stone from Pearlmans:

1.02ct
H color
SI1 Clarity
Triple Excellent cut
Depth % : 61
Table % : 57
6.50-6.53 X 3.98

Total Wire Price : $5,487

Fellow PSers,

I just found out from Julian at Pearlmans that the setting I want is not available for me to preview before I purchase (he was going to send a sample). Since it is a special order I would not be able to send it back. He seems to be a favoirte on here for many PSers, but I am concerned about this purchase. Please I need feedback. Do I chose another setting that I able to preview before I buy. I was really wanted that setting.

Please help.

I'm here. :-)

Can he provide you with an idealscope image for the round? That would be the best thing there.

As for the setting... can you link me?

Gypsy,

I just saw another setting and this one I will be able to preview. It looks similar to the orginal ring I posted under: newbie, dover jewlery. I love it and Julian is willing to give it to me for the same price as the art deco setting. It is important to me to be able to preview the setting (since it will not be able to be returned). Here is the other setting http://www.pearlmansjewelers.com/jewelry-designers/beverley-k-jewelry/rings/70PP1/

Thanks again for your help.
