So I ordered my fiance's wedding band several months ago. Before I confirmed, I asked when it would be done - before even giving them my wedding date. They said it would be done and to me in the middle to end of March. I confirmed no later than the end of March? And they said absolutely not. Now, because I am STUPID, I didn't get this in writing. Yes, I know, I really should know better.
It is now a week into April and no ring. Every time I have called, they have said "oh, we're keeping an eye on it, it'll be done soon" and REFUSED to give me any sort of exact date or anything, and then suddenly get "busy" and hang up. My wedding is in TWO WEEKS, and most of the week of the wedding no one will be home to accept the package! I get so frustrated at the run-arounds I'm being given on the phone that I can't figure out what to say. I MUST have the wedding ring by the end of next week or I will have to order/purchase a backup ring (probably order because he is a size 12.5, which is rarely carried). And if I have to order a backup ring I will have to use my fiance's money or my parents' money to do so because I blew all my money on THIS ring. wah.
I know some of you are amazing at knowing what to say in these sorts of situations. I would like to call again on Monday and ensure I receive the ring by Friday, or at the very least no later than Monday. ALSO it really needs to be perfect now, because I am on high alert for any deficiencies. I just don't know what to say except boo company I hate you now.
The things I have thought over so far that may be useful for you to know:
1. While not a jeweler often recommended on Pricescope, they have occasionally been mentioned here, though I can't figure out if anyone has actually ever bought anything from them. So a long post from me will possibly be the only substantial thing on Pricescope about them.
2. They have all of one Yelp review, so whatever I write will be half of everything about them on Yelp. The Yelp review is the second link in their google search results.
3. I am not unwilling to do a chargeback, but when do I initiate? If it's not here after the rehearsal dinner, or the morning after the wedding? If I wait until after the honeymoon, it will be dangerously close to the 60-day limit from when I paid.
