are you back to round again?

looking around.....................i am not wedded to anything specifically but there is a real lack of decent EC''s .................in larger sizes.

She's thinking about keeping her EC and getting a round rather than just upgrading the EC, right WS?

ETA: Mmmmmmm...love G VS1 or 2!!!! Perfect!

Well, there is such a significant price difference, and goodness, 3 carats is HUGE for a RB, so I personally would probably choose the 3.05 from GOG. The numbers are fine on both.

ARe there links to those stones? I can''t make sense of all those numbers!

right. i just copied the bars from the search........? trying to figure out if the larger is worth the extra $$$

That''s ok, I figured out the numbers.

yes thats my feeling...........i know the 3.6 will look bigger but to the tune of the $$difference--not really worth it

Good lord that''s a huge price difference!!! I know you''re color-sensitive but have you considered going down to H? There is a big visual difference between 3 and 3.6 so if the size is remotely a factor, you may want to go to a store and look at some ideal cut H''s in person, see if they''re white enough for you. My H SI1 is a crisp white, crystal clear, and you can see the creaminess only at certain angles, and ONLY if you''re holding the ring right up next to your nose. The fact that mine is set low in a basket setting also minimizes the warmth....for all intents and purposes, my H is just as white as my E! If you can spend 58 large for a 3 carat G, you could consider going to an H and getting an ideal cut stone around the 4 carat mark. Of course, they''re harder to come by so you may need to hunt around, but again -- just some food for thought.

By the way, the specs on the 3.055 are just about as good as it gets.

I don''t really have any additional comments from those above except that you have quite a nice dilemma!
Personally, I would save the money and go with the GOG one.

Kristy, as an aside, I appreciate the comments regarding H. I am currently in that exact dilemma wondering if I should go with a G or H. The H I am looking at at GOG has been evaluated to be a high H close to G, so that makes me feel better. But it is 1.35 and I want to get closer to 1.5 (melee to you and WS!!!), yet the 1.4''s are soooo hard to come by (in VS1).

(Sorry for the off-topic post, WS!)
