I'm really excited to post this because it means that I finally found the red spinel I wanted for my soon-to-be engagement/wedding ring. Top is the spinel in its temporary home; middle is my left hand ring (grandmother's diamond); bottom is an impulse purchase from 6 years ago. Bottom ring will become my left hand ring and grandmother's diamond will be made into a pendant.
