2 cushion cut stones...help me choose!!!

I don't know if I should really weigh in because 9 times out of 10 I'll choose the more antique style stones (like Mark's new contender) over the Ex/Ex style cushions like the one from GOG, but here's my take... If you want the biggest chunks of contrast, and you want to be drawn into the stone, choose Mark's. If you want it to behave more like a round brilliant, choose Jon's - I'm thinking it will look somewhat like Chrono's stone in her avatar (ooh-la-la, dazzling). And also, are you sure that if say, in two weeks, you saw a more rectangular stone in whichever style it is that you prefer, would you be kicking yourself? If so, wait and one will eventually come up. Both are beautiful squarish stones and both have upgrade capabilities.

Ditto to every little thing Pixley said! The two stones wil be quite different - although both will be gorgeous, no doubt. You need to decide what "look" you''re going for. If you already saw Jon''s in person, and LOVED it, then go for it. But if you are in no rush, and really really want a more rectangular stone, which it seems you do, then wait. The perfect stone will come.

You guys are right....there is no hurry! I am going to wait!!!!! I really do want a more rectangular stone!!!!!! I think I keep trying to talk myself into the square! And while it is beautiful it is not exactly what I want. And when you are paying this much money for something it is silly to settle right? Thank you all for being my reality check!!!!

A local jeweler called a little while ago and said he had three new cushions for me to look at. I am not holding my breath b/c everything they have shown me so far has been the crushed ice (modified brilliant) look! But a girl can hope!!!

Thank you again!!!!!! It really helps to have someone tell you it is okay to wait.....my perfect stone will come along!!!!

lablover, don''t settle. if you want a more rectangular stone, just hold out a bit longer until one comes up. it''s funny because i thought i wanted a cushion that was more square but ended up with falling in love with a slightly rectangular one too...it''s so worth the wait though if you can hold on and get exactly what you want.

Ok....you guys are going to think I am crazy...but here it is!!!!!! LOL!!! I went and looked at those other 3 cushions all of which were rectangular and realized....yup....the rectangular shape isn''t as important to me as I thought is was!!!!! Soooooo, I FINALLY made a decision!!!!! I am purchasing the square cushion from GOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sooooooo excited!!!! I think I got caught up in this whole process and wouldn''t let myself really see my favorite stone!!!!! Which was the square one!!!!! There is just something about it that calls to me!!!!!!!!!!!!! The color and cut of it is amazing in person!!! I have looked at A LOT of cushions over the last few months and I always kept comparing them to THIS cushion....and all were lacking!!!!

I want to thank all of you for all of your help and support!!!!!! You guys are the best!!!! And I want to thank the 2 PS vendors who worked with me!

I decided to go with the Ritani endless love setting and wedding band!!! I originally was just going to get an Ering as I already have a channel set wedding band, but this stone makes the stones in my wedding band look not so great!!! And the stones in my wedding band are F VS stones! I think it is the combo of the E color and fluoro in the new stone! My new stone is just so icy white and crisp!!!!

As soon as I made the final decision, I felt so at peace knowing it is the stone for me!!!!!

I can''t wait to get it and will come back and post pictures as soon as I have it in hand!!!! Again, thank you all so much for your help!!!!!
