Following along from the Rocky Talky thread, I spent the last few months figuring out what I wanted for my now fiancé. Thanks to PS, I looked at various vendors and ultimately landed on HPD and stretched a bit over the initial estimate to get into the 2.5 territory. For the setting, I had an inspiration setting that I worked with Layla to modify to my tastes in their custom program. We ran into some snags at a couple of steps in the process thanks to bank errors and covid delays but ultimately I, and more importantly my fiancé, are quite happy with the outcome! Thanks to those who provided advice and guidance - this is tough stuff!

On to the point of this thread — HPD glam shots below along with the first pic on her finger (sz 5.5)!

You did really well!
:love:I'm so happy your fiance loves her ring, it's positively blingtastic
We'll need more hand shots. She needs to show that baby off!

Congratulations! What a beautiful and unique ring. Hope you guys have a lifetime of happiness!

Thanks! Her main wisdom was vintage, unique and rose gold if it had side stones for contrast. I had to run with it and found something I liked too!

Wow if that was the brief, you have nailed it! I must say your lady has great taste!

So much detail! Whilst the diamond is very stunning, that setting certainly gives it a run for it's money! Congratulations!

Congratulations!!! Beautiful stone!

Great job @BlingShopper! Now you need to add it to the CBI thread.

Beautiful ring - congrats!

Holy moly! That ring is fantastic! Congratulations!

Thanks all! I think she really likes it and has gotten a number of compliments! Will have to keep it clean for her and take some more shots in different light.

So beautiful! I know you are thrilled. Wear it in good health!

As a little follow up here, the wedding band process is coming to an end! We spent a lot of time looking at wedding bands the both fit my fiancé’s finger. Initially starting with a matching scalloped band design by HPD. It looked great but we ultimately determined would just be too thick when stacked with her band as she has pretty short fingers. We looked at other diamond options at HPD and other stores along with different shapes and ultimately it just didn’t feel right taking as smaller diamonds seemed to take away from the engagement ring. I did involve her this time too!

Eventually, we put our trust in HPD again to engrave and milgrain detail a simple 2mm RG band that would pull the theme from the engagement ring while not overwhelming the other ring or her finger. It gets here tomorrow and although our wedding isnt until October, I am happy to (hopefully!) be done with her part of this jewelry journey :). Will update with pictures of the stack.

Now onto my ring…a Chris Ploof mokume gane leveraging my grandfathers old band.
