I just bought this stone and am not happy about how dark it looks. What did miss? What should I do?

Here are 3 videos and 2 screen shots of the stats:

I'm going to guess the HCA score of 3.4 indicates it's not got great light return. The crown and pavilion angles don't look very complementary so it's not very bright. Can you return it?
You can use the HCA to help you determine which stones are worth further consideration <2 is worth further investigation. Generally a score of >2 means it won't be a bright sparkly stone.

The cheat sheet numbers you can use to help find a good performer are:
54-57 table
60-62.4 depth
34-35 crown angle
40.6-40.9 pavilion angle
You want complementary angles for crown and pavilion like 34/40.9 and 35/40.6.

It surprised me that this HCA calls this "very good"

How does it look in other lighting? sunlight, shade, etc?

I have an ideal cut diamond and it goes dark like this sometimes depending on lighting.

I realize it's a lab grown and not ideal cut, but try all sorts of lighting to see what you think

Is your phone case black or your clothing while filming?

Most super ideal cut stones look dark similar to yours under spotlighting.
From the video alone, I don't see anything obviously wrong with it.
Ideally, your stone should have less steep pavilion angle around 40.6-40.8 for the higher crown, or less steep crown under 35 for the given pavilion angle, for a more balanced light performance.
You should go visit a Hearts On Fire store near you to checkout some of the ideal cuts before getting prematurely too upset with your choice.
