2.25 Tanzanian violet blue spinel in rose gold pave ring

How did this get past me? Amazing spinel, like a tanzanite and a blue diamond hooked up and had a child.

It's not an addiction by the way! It's a necessity!!!

Yeah, tell my husband that!

Thanks everyone!!

TL, gorgeous! And WOW at your collection collage! I would LOVE to see a collage of your entire collection!!!!

That's quite a collage!

Thanks LTP, MTG,
Lauren, it's too exhausting to do my loose tourmaline collection, and my garnet, beryl, colored diamond, and miscellaneous "other species" rings, loose stones. Here's my tourmaline rings. Five of them are precision cut, and can you tell which color I like best???? ;))

I included my prize loose tourmaline, a violet cuprian with GIT memo (6 carats). Have not set this yet. I also included a 9 carat elongated indicolite loose gem.

As much as I love tourmaline (hence the handle name), I have to say that spinels take on a better luster and are "crisper" looking. I also love the fact that the blue/violet spinels tend to have fire to them. I really get a lot of pleasure and entertainment out of my spinels. I probably won't be shopping for tourmaline any time soon.

OMG, TL. Insane! Just absolutely breathtaking!!!!! Can't believe you actually made the collage - turned out really nice!

Top row, far right in your tourmaline collage is my faaaavorite!

Thanks Colorlvr.

Thanks Lauren,
I added another collage in the eyecandy thread. I got bored one day, and decided, "what the heck."

Packrat,
Thanks for the compliment on that Afghan tourmaline ring, but I have to get it redone. My jeweler did a terrible job on the bezel, so I never wear it. It was cut by Gene, and I really need to get the stone out of the mount and reset.

PRICELESS!!!!! I would love to see everything all at once.....

Thanks Lori, unfortunately I don't have enough fingers!!! I figured a collage was better so that people could see the rings in their detail, one per picture.

I love the collage, TL, but the photos need to be BIGGER so we can admire more details!

Thanks Aoife,
There's threads on most of these pieces so you can see them in detail that way.

Oh, I know, I just like looking at the photos. ;))
