yesterday I had one of my rings converted into a pinky ring. My local jeweler did the work and he was being very gracious when it came time to pay, he didn't charge me! I know he gained a little bit of gold and that probably made it worth his while. My fingers swelled over the night and there was a little bee sting mark under the culet area. He told me he wasn't going to touch that section of the setting and would only be adjusting the shank. It wasn't like this before.
Why would he have done this? He left the country today so I can't ask him my questions.
Oh no, that’s a shame! The only thing I can think of is by making the ring smaller it brought the entire head closer to your finger? How much did he size it down?
It went from a 5.25 to a 3. He certainly modified the top part, the culet was not poking through at all before. It's a shame, I really love how it looks on!
