1CT Round Diamond Help

Both stones look good to my eyes looking at the videos. But given I'm anally retentive on facet alignment and optical symmetry for stones that are marketed as signature ideals/super ideals, I'd take the VS2 instead even though on paper the VVS2 is only a few bucks more for a higher clarity.

Are you suggesting the whiteflash diamonds would be a better performing diamond in the 6k range?

My goal is to get the best eye looking 1ct diamond in my price range for this solitaire ring.

Thanks.

Yes, the super ideals are cut for the best light performance possible. Alternatively, you could hunt for a top performing GIA XXX cut (which the BN stone may or may not be), but it would be very important to get light return images to confirm. In this case since the BN and WF stones are not that far apart in price, I'd most certainly choose WF. Part of the price tag of the WF stones is that they are already top of the line, with all images provided, and a better upgrade policy.

If you are willing to consider a stone with fluorescence that has been pre-vetted for no negative impacts on transparency and brilliance and which is also cut to super-ideal standards (the BN Signature Ideals fall short of super-ideal in my books generally though some stones may fall into super-ideal territory), you may also want to consider these two H/SI1 Brian Gavin Blues:

While the plot looks quite busy on the 1.017, the video shows (to my eyes at least) that the crystals are primarily white in colour rather than black and from an 8-10" distance, it's likely to be eye-clean (though one could always enquire with BGD about the eye-clean nature of SI1 stones). I've zoomed out on the video so that the stone isn't quite so magnified and it looks eye-clean to me. Another advantage is that the strong blue fluorescence will likely help this stone face up more like a G coloured stone when set.

The 1.025 has a couple of black crystals that are noticeable in the video (around the edge of the table) but when zoomed out and from 8-10" away, it too is likely to be eye-clean.

While the list prices are a bit higher than WF, I'm sure if you talk with a BGD rep that they may be able to assist on price.

Otherwise, one of the WF stones suggested by ac117 would work for you as well.
