Hey, I bought this off ebay a couple weeks ago. Just got it in the mail. Jeweler describes it as 1ct pear f-g color SI1.

Its eye clean and sparkles pretty nicely. I don't trust the jewelers appraisal though and im no expert. One of his rings he says is H color and its almost brown...What does it look like to you? Its eye clean but has lots of black spots and mb cracks so i'm thinking SI2, maybe a good I1? I have a 14 days return on it so just want opinions. I put a 10x loop in front of my hd camera and took some screen shots of the video, hope its clear enough.

Who graded it? Is there a cert? He can call it whatever the hell he wants, but without a cert you havent a clue what you really have there.

I'm not entirely sure, it wasn't a big name or anything. I think it was their"Certified gemologist" from their company...so otherwise no one.

It came with an appraisal but was from their company

Nobody can grade color or clarity from pics.
If you want to know the diamonds grades have it removed from the setting and sent to GIA or AGS. (Other labs lie.)

I'd never buy a diamond without a report from one of those two labs.
Price depends on grades, and that's the only way to be sure of the grades.

I'd return it to the seller for a refund.
I'd tell him/her if they won't get a GIA or an AGS grading report I won't consider buying it.

Worth a shot, just wanted to know if it was decent enough to keep. Im not worried about the cut or color. Its pretty white and sparkles as nice as others ive scene. Was just wondering on the clarity, thats almost exactly what I see through a loupe.

I'd have an independent appraisal done.
