1ct OEC on a size 7 finger, any help much apprieciated!!!

hi, i've just bought a 1ct OEC Solitaire (with 2 baguette side stones) its of ebay so ive only seen pictures and wont be getting it for a couple of weeks. i was hoping that someone would be able to post some pics of there OEC 1CT on a size 7-8 hand. because OEC's are cut a bit deep im worried about it looking small on my big hands!! thanksxxx

I have to congratulate you again on your beautiful ring! As you know, I too have a 1ct OMC/OEC and I do find with mine that because it is deeply cut, it does look smaller than 1ct to me. I also have a 1ct pear that looks a lot bigger. I would not be much help with photos though as my 1ct lives on my size 2 1/2 finger!

thanks!! do you think that the bautey makes up for it looking a bit smaller? your soooooooo lucky to have such small hands, your 1ct must look like a 2ct on your hands!!!

Here is a OEC 1.08 ct (center stone) + .42 ct baguettes and little rounds on a 9 finger size. I think you would prefer to view a solitaire but just in case, I show you mine.

I have a .95 carat OEC, color J, that was DH grandmother's. It's set in a platinum and 18k gold solitaire, medium high, and I've never felt like it looked too small on my finger. I also wear a size 7--which BTW, I've never felt was large.

I also have an OMC, purchased from JbyEG, 1.68 carats, L-M in color, that I adore. It's setting is similar to the one you just purchased with a baguette on either side. Setting also purchased from JbyEG. Anyway, it's a deeper stone and I was surprised that it didn't look larger.

I guess my point to all of this is that I interchange the rings all the time and feel that neither one looks too small on my hand.

If you want more bling and presence, why not put flashy eternity bands on either side of your ring. I do that sometimes with my OEC and it does look amazing.

hi, thanks for the pics, it does give me a good idea even though its not a solitaire. i really like the bands idea, it is actually coming with a matching band with .20ct of baugett cuts. so im going to start looking for another band. do you ever find it uncomfortable wearing 3 rings?

I wear 3 rings now. Those pictures was before I add a little diamond band and it's really confortable. No problem.

Depend of your finger size. You can have band as small as 1mm if need. Like mine.

I don't know how much this will help you, but I have an OMC in a solitaire. The stone is a 1.60ct, but measurements are around the size of a 1.30ct on a ~ 7 finger.

thanks for your help ladies. i've got 7 days (and counting!) till i get my lovely new ring so i will post some pics and you can all give me your opinion. i've just been on toolhuas.org and put the sellers i.d (ebay) and im slightly worried to be honest, he seems to misjudge (!!) carat weight and clarity a lot! but then again has 1000s of positive feedback. am i allowed to put his name on here yo see if anyones bought of him?
