Currently, I have a 1 ct Fancy Pinkish Yellow-Orange I3 Pear. I do not know what I should do with this stone because I have looked closely at it and found that there are a few tiny chips. I was originally drawn to the color. It appears to be Pinkish Orange. In some lights it is a Pinkish Brown-Orange. Very Peach...

Because of the size of the diamond being exactly 1 ct, I am wondering if it is worth it to have the stone repared? Will the value be there with color even though it is probably an I3?

Probably a good question for Rockdiamond. Hopefully he'll see this thread. Do you plan on selling this stone in the future? Setting it in a piece of jewelry?

It looks padparadscha colored. I don't know if you'd even want to address the chips. Hopefully @Rockdiamond will see this.

Hi all!
KaliDiamond- that stone looks so cool ( especially in the middle picture :)
You are calling it an I3- just curious, but does it have a full GIA report?
It's very common for cutters to submit for a "half report" in a case of an imperfect stone.
BTW_ I've seen plenty of gorgeous I3 stones over the years. Don't pre-judge, that's my rule.
Sometimes the imperfections give the stone personality.

Of course plenty of times I3's look like carp, but that's another story.

About repair- of course, I can't make any sort of concrete assessment without inspecting the stone firsthand.
But from the way you describe the chips (tiny) likely no need to put'er back in the wheel.

Oh I would love to set this piece myself if i knew how to set stones. It measures more than 6 almost 7mm across. I am hoping to learn. If someone wants this piece for the right price of course I would sell it.

It would make a pretty bezeled pendant!

I assume it was an I3 it has no certificate. I do want to have it GIA graded but I wasn't sure if the color was Pink "enough".
It has a bright blue fluorescence as well which i suspect is helping enhance the color.
Here is the video from the vendor that i purchased it from.
