Scores 2.1 on HCA but with very good across all four factors.
Table is a little too large. 57 or 58 would be better.

I think you might be able to do better but I'm outta time tonight to search as my new bub is sucking up most of my attention.

Thanks guys. Is the D colour too much for a vs2?

Depends on your priorities and eye sensitivity. I would gladly trade down on color (to H or even I) to improve on clarity and size.

Why a D? Is it because of your cultural heritage where high color is valued? If not, then G is a great color-- still white white and a better value

I think that you should go with a bit lower color like e-f color to get either a bigger stone or better clarity ,I would go for FVS2 in a larger stone for the same amount $$
also if you ever lose the GIA certificate they request that you send the stone again to be examined ,
when they re grade a D color there is 2 possibilities either D Or E
with any other color there are 3 Possibilities IE..E color can be D -E -F
hope this helps

Yes, cultural and a personal thing for my partner. She was noticeably colour sensitive when we were looking.

Though she probably couldn't see the difference if diamonds were notice next to each other

I have E color studs and they are super white. Each time you move a letter, you get more value. F would be a good bet too.

You want to stay in these parameters and then run the numbers through the HCA tool
Depth 60.5-62.1
Table 55-57
Pavilion 40.6 40.8
Crown 34 34.5

Yours scores a 2.1 HCA, which is ok. The idea is to toss anything over a 2, so this is borderline with all "very good" categories instead of mostly "excellents".

It is probably a beautiful diamond but there could be better choices

They already told you, table size of your diamond is too much: 59%
I could add: swallow crown (14.5%) and slightly tick girdle (4.5%).
Better choice is table up to 58%, better crown height 15%, medium girdle (3.5%).
HCA score under 2.
Overall your diamond is OK, but not the best cut.
I like the VS2 of your diamond, it is very good VS2 with inclusion out of sight, very clean diamond!

if you like a D colored stone VS2 is a good choice. Colorless + eye clean...
