19K White Gold vs Palladium - help! (Scott Kay)

I've narrowed my engagement ring search to a setting I found at Jared. It is a Scott Kay setting in 19K white gold. It has a beautiful soft looking finish to it. Very delicate. It's priced at $2120.

Obviously that's a huuuge price difference! However I need the ring in 2 weeks so I don't have much time to mess around. I can't see the Palladium ring in person, and I'd have to try to have it sent out to get a diamond set as well.

Has anybody seen a Scott Key ring in both 19K white gold and palladium? Is there a huge difference? Is it obviously noticeable? What about weight?

The 19K will weigh more than the palladium. Palladium is closer to 14K gold in weight. Palladium is likely a bit more "gray" than the 19k would be (19k white gold is generally not plated and still quite white) but without them side by side they would both appear quite white.

As for whether to go with palladium or 19k - palladium and gold have different characteristics. Neither is better or worse. It just depends on what your preferences are.

I prefer gold over both palladium and platinum and would go for the 19K, but others would certainly pick the other way and of course that is a huge price difference.

I was reading the Scott Kay website, and it says their 19K white gold rings are rhodium plated. The one at Jared has such a soft look to it, almost grayish... so I'm wondering if it would look kind of close. So palladium isn't as shiny as 14k white gold?
