I wanted to share pics and the cool story of my mother's great aunt's ring.
My mother's great uncle found this stone one day while he was walking in the woods. He took it home, had it polished and set it in a gold bezel ring.
My favorite feature of this ring is the inscription on the inside of the band. The inscription reads "Mizpah" which comes from the bible verse Genesis 31:49 "And Mizpah;for he said, the Lord watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another."
The band has had to be repaired several times and each time my mother is careful to have the inscription redone in the same font and the same place on the band.
Sorry that the pics are a little fuzzy, we took them on a phone camera while traveling.
