I thought that 18K yellow gold was nicer becuase it is a richer yellow color. This wouldnt make sense for white gold. In white gold you want something soft, easy to work with, not as scratchable, but most importantly, shiney white in color! I would figure that if you have 14K white gold you could add more alloys such as silver or palladium for color, and also for added strength. I think that 14K might be tad brittle (I am not sure), but still soft enough to use as good jewelry. That being said, 14K white gold seems the all out winner.
Does anyone know if 18K white gold gets yellow faster than 14K?
