Yes, I searched and read. Still confused, sorry.

An 18K alloy with palladium, doesn''t need to be plated with Rhodium, according to A Jaffe company? Would I still be better off having a platinum head on the ring, or at that point would the 18K head be ok? I have my jeweler pricing out the 18K palladium alloy rings now, as I didn''t know that was an option yesterday. /sigh I would so like to make a decision and move on with this.

If you''re going with 18k Palladium-WG you may wish to have the whole ring in that metal; unplated it is just slightly more grey than common platinum alloys. It won''t be a pronounced difference but on the same piece it may be visible, if that matters. Obviously, the platinum head has the advantage as a "shock absorber" - but many people have WG heads with no issues. You should always have a good insurance policy, regardless.
