Its probably too late to help the person out who bought this stone...but, did anybody see this listing on the bistro?

How is it possible that a Ceylon Sapphire, with this type of color and clarity, can be found for sale for $160? Am I missing something or is this the deal of the century that all of us PS'rs were too slow to respond tothe ad?

I mean, check out the pics!

Synthetic? Be-treated? Did it come with a reputable lab report?

Any mention of treatment? From what little I can see, it looks very extinct with bits of blue flashes.

As I recall, the stone had no lab reports and seemed to be a mediocre cut with mediocre color. Nothing that made me jump.

It shows lots of blackening but regardless....$160 for a 12ct natural untreated??????? :?: :?: :?: :?:

I guess I wasn't as clear as I could be in my post. I believe it is highly likely that the sapphire has been treated and that fact was just not known or disclosed by the seller...

How much would a transparent, royal blue, untreated 10ct sapphire cost ?

Doesn't matter what kind of treatment, around $15 per ct would be very cheap for lab created sapphire. If it's Be treated it's a steal, if it's heated it 100 times under the proper price.
