Things are hotting up.

But how colorless?
They use ''transperent'' a lot, but no reference to the color.
And 12mm 5ct must be under 50% depth - not even Garry likes diamonds that shallow!

Sounds like more PR stunt than commercial activity - unless the commercial part is to attract investors to otherwise unattractive boffins
 
Or perhaps for drills and other industrial uses?
 
The photos of the blue crystals peaked my curiosity.....

Wonder what the contaminant is.

As to shallowness, its obvious that these in order to proportion these into gems, the diameters would be limited, in order to achieve proper depth, Gary. They wouldn''t all be shallow.

In the other photo, the dark inlcusions in it are rather interesting. They don''t say what those are. And while they are hawking transparency, obviously clarity is a consideration to be made too.
