Oops, this is my first time posting and I submitted without writing a message (or finishing the subject line) yet!

I've been lurking off and on since before my engagement (4 years ago!!) and have learned a lot from you all. Since then I got my ring, a house and two babies, and have been gifted some fancy pieces that I won't be wearing a lot. So, this is the first time I feel like I want something for myself that I can wear often, with my new lifestyle. BUT I can't spend too much because I want to spend on the kids.

I'm looking at the DBTY necklace or bracelet from WF, or a thin eternity ring, or maybe the bangle. I would love two half eternity's with engravings of my daughter and son's names, but I think it might be too expensive. I have studs and .85 solitaire from Tiffany (I found about PS then but wasn't able to convince my DH to buy elsewhere).

I recently bought the big amethyst ring and earrings from T that I love, and have several silver/diamond pieces from there, but don't get to wear them much because they are a little dramatic for playdates!

What do you think? Is there anything else that is simple, not too flashy, but SHINY

that I can wear daily? I can spend more, if I can wear it more. No tennis bracelets because I lost the one my MIL gave me WHILE SHE WAS VISITING last year and I haven't gotten over it!!

would be lovely

On jewelry? I would put towards a couple of earring remounts right now...

Hee hee.

(this was a reply to yssie, who responded to just my subject line with no message!)

(I think I have this figured out now!)

do you have diamond stud earrings?

I'd get a DBTY or a bezel pendant from Whiteflash or Brian Gavin Diamonds and then, since you can wear that all the time

, maybe a thin eternity band (which you can also wear all the time

)

I love my .41 K SI1 bezel pendant H&A signature from Brian Gavin Diamonds. It is blazing white from face up, sparkles like the dickens, and is even sparkly when it flips--it was well under your budget.

The pendant, your studs, and a thin eternity would be comfortable to wear all the time, totally playdate appropriate, but give you some fun everyday bling

ETA_Instead of studs, I got leverbacks that dangle, they are so comfortable that I wear then 24/7 and sleep in them, and the movement from the dangle, plus the thin bezel, really makes my .25 each (.5tcw) earrings pop....

A DBTY with a larger bezeled diamond in the center would be fine for playdates and also look great at parent teacher conferences, recitals and their eventual college graduations.

Yes, I do. They are .30 G VVS1 from T. They are really sparkly and I''m petite so they are a good size for me. I wear them pretty often but don''t leave them in because the platinum screw backs aren''t that comfortable -- the post is pretty thick.

Thanks for the suggestion, Bella! There is a "ready-to-go" bezel pendant with an ES stone at WF, H SI. Would that be fine for a pendant, or is it worth getting the stone separately to get ACA? I would also love to get an E color stone because I''m color sensitive, but would that be overkill for a pendant? I also don''t have any white gold, except for a chain -- mostly wear plat or silver. Would I have to replate the bezel and chain frequently? Does it make a difference if it''s 14k or 18k in terms of having to replate it?

Sorry, so many questions! If anyone else can help me out too, I''d appreciate it!

Hee hee, reader, COLLEGE GRADUATIONS?! I''m just getting used to the fact that my baby girl is growing up so fast and starting preschool in September!!

But it''s true, a pendant might be most versatile and I could hopefully wear it forever (until I passed it on to my kid when she''s old enough). How large is ''larger'' but still dainty? I was looking at the DBTY bracelet because I though it would be discreet for playdates. Also, I could admire it myself while wearing it!

I snuck a peek at photos of your collection and your pieces are beautiful! Your leverbacks are really sparkly!! I''ve always preferred dangly earrings over studs. And the sapphire is GORGEOUS!!
