Hi Pricescopers!

I've been reading the education guides but I'm a bit lost when it comes to oval diamonds. I'm looking to buy an oval MMD for an engagement ring and would love some help from this community to pick the perfect oval diamond. The setting I'm looking at is a two tone plat/gold band https://jrdunn.com/oval-ultra-thin-hidden-halo-engagement-ring-setting-in-yellow-gold.html

As for the stone, the specifications I would like are:

Oval 1.4 - 1.6 ct
L/W - 1.42 - 1.46
Clarity - Better than VS1
Color - F or greater
Budget - 4k

Based off other online research but I defer to your expert opinions:
Table: 56 - 60%
Depth: 60 - 63%
Crown Height: 12 - 15%
Girdle: Very Thin - Slightly Thick
Polish/Symmetry: Excellent - Good

Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm far from educated on ovals, so hopefully someone else jumps in, but a couple thoughts to get you started.

Thank you vintageinjune!

Is diamondsbylauren a reputable seller? I don't see any reports or videos for the stone.

I also found this one on ritani but would like an oval experts opinion. The filter narrowed down to 100 results but they all look the same to me lol.

Yes, Diamonds by Lauren is one of the few places I'd blindly trust if he said "this is a great fancy cut diamond". He has an excellent eye for fancy cuts in particular. They are a smaller business and don't have time to put up a video for every single piece they do, but will send you one if you ask.

The grading report is listed on the bottom left hand corner where they list the diamonds specifications (they don't post links, just the lab and #, but it is EGL REPORT #: LG508130768 for the diamond I linked).

Thanks, she actually likes something closer to a 1.44 L/W ratio and D/E color. I'm not sure if I can edit my original post. After looking a bit more, there's a couple of options that stood out.

Option 1: Looks brighter than other diamonds but is that due to the lighting?

Option 2: ~50% more expense but the video looks good.

Pricescopers, what are your opinions on these stones? Is there anything better out there?

Thanks for the help!
