Thank you for taking the time. I am unsure if this is worth $22,000. Thank you for taking time time. If this isn't good, can you tell me why and where if I can find better?

I haven't see a crown angle that high on an AGS0 before, but it could be really nice! I'd like to see it! I adore the size, the color, and clarity. It is really right at my preferred specs. And yes, I would pay $22k for it. The only negative is that I generally won't buy a diamond blind with no pictures and no idealscope image.

Wow. 1.9 on HCA? FIC? Could be a very awesome stone. So basically, as DS says, get some live pics of the stone and an Idealscope image of it. Find one of the favorite vendors who can pull the stone for you and get the needed imagery.

Is the feather at the edge an issue regarding the structure integrity? Should I be worry it will cause chipping one day? Thank you and I am still learning.

It could be...I'd ask the gemologist and get them to be 100% honest with you.

No, a VS1 inclusion absolutely cannot be an issue! Don't give that another thought!

Agreed! The only time durability potentialy becomes a concern is in SI2 and lower clarities and even then they should be evaluated on a stone by stone basis. Most SI2s are fine, so are many I1s but its best to have them evaluated. A VS1 with a recent GIA. Or AGS report will be absolutely fine.

Your stone looks incredible on paper, Id really love to see some images!

I thought that if there was an inclusion that GIA deemed a durability issue it was dropped down ti I automatically....

Thank you all. I need to get pictures and I-Scope but unfortunately this is all I have. I am looking at the 1.8 and this other RB. It is a 1.7 but it has a great TIC. I know most PSers prefer to get either lower clarity or color. Unfortunately, my fiance is very color sensitive and I am clarity sensitive. I was able to see an inclusions in a 1.4 VS2.

What are your thoughts? Thanks again and I love to learn from everyone. Right now my fiance is pushing for a Flawless if that is the case I will go down to 1.5c to keep around the same budget. Please help :)

Either is a good choice. I like the 1.8. Just barely FIC, nothing extreme. Should be a stunner. Bigger than the 1.7, and bigger is better. ;))

Oh yes, is it bad that I am already getting DSS and this is before owning either diamond? If it wasn't for his color sensitivity, I think I could repress and lower my clarity standards to get a bigger carat! ;)

Re: 1.8 RB AGSL Image:Can experts tell me is this good? Ty n

Are you really bothered if you cannot find the inclusions with the naked eye WITHOUT looking at the clarity plot? Because mose VS2 diamonds would pass that test. Just food for thought. I think looking at the report and THEN looking for the inclusion is sort of cheating ;)) I also think that is five years, that inclusion you can barely maybe think you can find with your eyes all squinted likely won't be on your mind. But the bigger diamond you can buy may be on your mind.

Each diamond should be considered on its own, too. Seeing an inclusion in one VS2 does not mean you will see an inclusion in every VS2.

ETA: I don't care how you choose to spend your money, but I want you to make an informed choice that you will be happy with long term.

Re: 1.8 RB AGSL Image:Can experts tell me is this good? Ty n

Please try to avoid going higher than VS1! Because VS1 is so clean that you may not be able to see inclusions with a 10x loupe! Either of these stones would be nice. But I'd still want the images, if possible.

Re: 1.8 RB AGSL Image:Can experts tell me is this good? Ty n

That was the problem. I saw the inclusion before the map or loupe and the jeweler couldn't believe it! He said I should work in the business!!! He went an check the cert and then loupe it. It was 6 inched away from the top and in regular light too. I think VS1 is as high as I go but he wants FL for the cool factor. Silly man. I decided to go with the 1.7 and save the 2.5k difference. That way I can upgrade sooner later on! Joking aside I will sleep on it and see what happens but leaning toward the 1.7. Hard to justify .1 carat for $2,500. Unless you girls think otherwise? /wink wink

He gave me a budget of 30k and I set the limit at 12-15 and now it is closer to 20. Darn DSS and all the lovely rings you ladies have. You make a girl who was never into gems of any sort go gaga with diamonds in her eyes. :) hugs and hoping to get some sleep and not read more about diamond for the next 8 hours.

We totally understand! Many of us have changed diamonds and/or settings over time while being on this site! It is great if you are getting an upgrade policy!
