I'm considering purchasing this 1.76 RB Si1 TIC for $10,123, but I'm concerned about the asymmetrical look of the arrows. Please take a look at the images and specs and let me know what you think.

I'm not a fan of the symmetry either.

jddibley,

I am not making comment about any specific diamond here - but I noticed this post and the one from which it is linked have two very different 'flavor' of diamonds. You are asking for opinions in one thread from a 60/60 diamond and the other is closer to Tolkowsky proportions.

You may want to put eyes on both types of diamonds before you make a decision - they have a different look to them. Some prefer the 60/60, others like the qualities you will find in the standard Tolk.

The Tolkowsky-cut will generally have shorter lower girdle facets (fatter 'arrows') creating bolder, brighter flashes, while the 60/60 will have longer lgf's and thinner arrows giving smaller flashes and more 'scintillation' in certain lighting conditions. Preferences vary.
