1.73 Faint Pinkish Brown MMD

Since completing my new lab diamond wedding set back in the spring, I’ve been bitten by the MMD bug. It’s dangerous to keep browsing! One of my purchases was a rose gold pave twist band from New World Diamonds a few months ago, and I have just kept poking around different sites dreaming of a solitaire to go with it.

I wasn’t normally checking Ritani, but I was enticed to their site by an ad. While browsing, I saw a 1.73 carat K faint pinkish brown, VVS1...I fell in love with the color from the video and it seemed like a really good price (I couldn’t find anything close to it on other sites). I just had a major milestone birthday this week and my celebration trip was cancelled, so I went ahead and ordered and received it a few days ago! It’s such a pretty pinkish-peach color and I love it. It faces up more white than I thought - I actually almost wish you could see more color face up. In certain lights though the pink really stands out. It’s at the jeweler being set now, and I switched from my original setting idea to one where I can see and enjoy more of the color from the side.

Thank you! I didn't start out looking for the pinkish brown hue, but when I stumbled across this one I went specifically looking for them on quite a few different sites to compare and found myself drawn to them every time.

It does actually face up pretty white to my eyes also - I think with my setting choice I'll be able to enjoy the color from the side view.

I should have it back this week and will post some pictures of it set (and comparison with my E color MMD).

I picked up the completed ring on Wednesday - it’s so cool how the rose gold affects the color of the stone! I see more color face up in a lot of lights, although that’s very hard to capture in pictures so far. Here’s a few quick photos (comparison photos are with my .79 carat E VVS2 MMD):
