The metal is platinum.
The diamond is actually not that symmetrical but the head sure makes it look that way it's 7.7x7.53mm. The shank is approx 1.95 mm width tapering up very slightly.

ooh VR that sounds like a fun project!

This is just to show my diamond from David's picture, I literally had to put my trust and faith in him and boy did he deliver!

The diamond I selected is at the bottom of the two loose stone. Can't judge a diamond from a picture unless its up close and personal.
