Hey Everyone!!
After lurking here for years, I'm very excited to finally make my first post! I learned so much from this community and from other users' posts, so here's my contribution
After getting a rough idea of what we wanted, we used Rare Carat to find the diamond, and ended up purchasing it through Ritani. We then worked with Caysie at CvB ID to customize her amazing Jovyn setting, and after a tortuous wait, it's now finally on my hand!!!
Stats:
1.62 ct, J, VS1, GIA 3X
7.55 x 7.57 x 4.60 mm
1.5 HCA
Faint Fluorescence
To maximize finger coverage and still stay in budget, we decided to go for a J color plus some fluorescence, and let me tell you, I am SO GLAD that we did! Initially I was nervous that the warmth would bother me, but it faces up very white pretty much all the time (except for one room at work with weird overhead lighting, lol). I spent a ton of time browsing these forums when I was trying to decide if I'd take the plunge with a J, so if you're in that same boat as I once was, let me tell you - it was totally worth it
Here are the pictures that Caysie sent us:
The customization we did to the Jovyn setting was to smooth the knife edge a bit, and make the taper to the stone very slight (2mm - 1.8 mm). It's also a brushed platinum finish, which I am obsessed with. I love my ring so much and so happy to be marrying the man who gave it to me
