Dan, bare minimum we need the color also to check price. Do a search above for cushions in the 1.5-1.75 carat, VS clarity range, and whatever color it is. That will give you an idea of what similar cushions are going for online.
It is a GIA certified, F color, VS2 in the cushion brilliant (not modified). I saw the diamond in person and it was gorgeous and am not just waiting for the actual GIA cert to take a look at. Just want to make sure with all the facets, I''m not missing something internal. But it has Excellent polish and VG symmetry so I''m thinking its a pretty good deal. I''m also waiting on the actual stone price. I was given a quote of $13,500 for a complete set including a pave setting with 3/4c of D VS1 stones around. I''m estimating the setting is $1,500 and the stone is $12,000 but am still waiting on clarification as to the break down.
I might be totoally wrong here, but according to my research and the experts I''ve talked too I thought the table was suppose to be smaller than depth.
In cushions a table smaller than the depth is a good start but still no guarantee. There are so many variables with cushions that they must really be seen and compared to other known winners or stinkers.
1.61c cushion cut
Color: F
Clarity: VS2
Dimensions: 7.11x6.97x4.56
Table: 56
Depth: 65.4
Culet: Slight
Pol: X
Sym: VG
I ended up paying $13,500 for this complete in setting, which I think is a great price for this stone. I''ve attached a photo of it (though it isn''t that good of one now since its with a cell phone). But will post another soon to show the finished product.
