Hi all,

Long-time lurker, appreciate all of the time that has been put in to make this site so useful.

Trying to narrow down some options for a ~1.5ct, H+ VS2/SI1, EX/ID cut, and came across this on JA:

https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...h-color-si1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-2665574

To my relatively uninformed eye, it seems like a good value, aside from the location of the inclusion -- middle of the table when viewed face-up. The lack of ASET or ideal scope on JA also makes the evaluation a bit tougher, but at least from the cert, everything else seems to line up.

Any thoughts?

The one you've chosen is a little more like a 60/60 which may result in the stone lacking a little fire but it may have more brilliance to it. The crown angle is a little low for me.

What is your budget?

Have you asked about eye-clean...just make sure. Looks like a nice stone and at a 1 1/2 carat H, seems
to be a good value. I dont have time to look around right now but will when I get back to check on
the price.

You might want to put it on hold before it gets snatched...

I don't think I could handle that inclusion right under the table. I am betting it could be seen at certain angles when light hits it the right way. But you can ask if someone can examine it if it is in their NY office.

Budget is 10-12, can push it if the value is there but not looking to go much larger than 1.7 or so. I'm fine if the dispersion is a little lacking, as I'm pretty sure she prefers brilliance in a diamond anyway. Does JA reserve stones anymore? I thought they changed their policy recently on this topic.
