Well done, what a beautiful ring! Great shots of those arrows in pic 1.
It looks like you took these pics outdoors, in the first two pics, how or what did you use to create the partial shading?
I've been trying to play around with my digital camera to get some decent photos of my new ring to show everyone here at PS, but have been really unsucessful. Any advice for a someone with no photography skills?
First of all, thanks for the compliments on the ring and the photography.
Iceprincess,
My best advice is to continue to play around. I've been doing just that for several weeks and only now was I able to get some pics worthy of sharing. All of the pics were taken outdoors in the sun. I used my hand and the angle of my body to get those partial shading shots. Just keep fiddling around and you'll get some good pics. Can't wait to see them.
I agree IP...it took me about 40 random shots to get 1 good one. Sounds sad but true. That is why I have about 500 shots on my computer in my folder...but only maybe 10 good ones...hee hee.
I had some luck a few times taking pictures with my digital camera using the little flower macro, with the flash on, but shaded with a piece of white paper.
Thanks all for the nice words. I love it too. I don't have any pictures on my hand, but I'll work on that. To be honest, though, I'm not a big fan of my hands. I wish I had delicate, slim, long fingers. It's such a shame because I love rings so much I wish I had beautiful hands to wear them on. Oh well. What do you all suppose is the average finger size? I wonder if there even is such a thing.
