Hi, I have to choices of stone.
1/ 1.51ct D color
2/ 1.61ct G color.

All other parameter are very similar. Both of them are sig ideal cut, round, vs2, price are only $500 difference. The D color one have faint fluorescence and the G one has none. It is really a tough choice.

If ignore the few hundreds difference, the difference of 0.1ct size vs D-G color which is more significant?

Thanks!

I'd say a 1.5D is more expensive than a 1.6G. depends on the inclusion as well. Not a VS2s are equal. GIA/AGS graded? What are the rest of numbers?

Who graded them signature ideal cut? We need more information to provide you with our opinions. Could you post link to stones or tell us what the rest of the numbers are?

Thank you! Yes the D is ~500$ more than the G one. Both of them use GIA report. I was trying to upload the report but cant do that using my phone. Both table are 57 and depth are 61.9..... They are so similar except for size and color.

Need the GIA report numbers

This will be my first ring. Lots of work to do.....

I wouldn't consider the G based on the numbers.

The D says additional clouds are not shown. It might be hazy. And I agree that the proportions on the G are not complementary.

I thought this means just no cloud.
Without seeing the real stone, how can I know if it is hazy?

Can someone post gypsy's thread?

OP, you can't know without seeing it. But usually at vs2, you would hope there is no prob due to the clouds. For $500 more I would look at the D first. If you don't like it, return it.

If you can, buy both, compare and send one back.

No, it means the opposite. It means there ARE additional clouds, but they are not drawn in the plot. Fluorescence in a D stone can have haziness. Clouds can also have haziness.
