First off a big thanks to Chris A at Brilliantly Engaged. He worked with both myself and my now fiancée to design this ring and it turned out exactly as I had hoped. I wanted a 6-prong solitaire, the smaller the prongs the better. I wanted rose gold. I wanted it to be feminine, fluid and elegant but sturdy. I looked through all the stock settings but nothing seemed just right. I ended up finding a pic of a ring that had been sold at Lang Antiques a while back and that was my inspiration. I e-mailed with Chris what tweaks I wanted made and then my fiancée took over from there. He worked with Chris through the CAD phase and made the final design decisions because he wanted it to be somewhat of a surprise. I left it up to him whether to have diamonds on the shank or not because I honestly couldn't decide that I wanted. He chose to leave the shank plain and I think it's perfect for me.
As for the AVR, it speaks for itself. I have a small lower colored OEC with medium fluoro and I knew I wanted a larger version for my engagement stone. I hadn't considered an AVR but was having trouble finding what I wanted in an OEC. I came across this stone on the GOG website and it was within budget, in the color range I wanted and with strong blue fluoro! I ordered it and when I received it, I fell instantly in love. A lower colored stone for an engagement ring is not for everyone but it's exactly what I wanted. I love that in certain lights you can see the body color and the rose gold really enhances this in such a positive way. Other times it faces up white and in the sunlight you can see just a hint of the blue. It has big flashes of all kinds of pastels and the fluoro is just such a neat feature. It's like my diamond has its own little secret super power. (I'm such a nerd, I know.) Anyway, on to the goodies.

Thanks for looking!
