I just called about 20 jewelry stores and NO one has a 1.5 ctw 5 stone for me to try on:( I'm trying to decide on 1 ctw or 1.5 ctw for a 5 stone band. I will be working with IDJ on it and REALLY wanted to try the different sizes here locally. Just for funsies, if you do have a size 4.5 finger and a 1 ctw or 1.5 ctw 5 stone band, will you post some pics here and tell me why you chose that size? Thank you:)

WF can also do a 1.25 ctw in my budget, so if you have that ctw, I'd love to see it!

1.5ct five stone on size 5.5. I would personally go for the 1.5ct even for a smaller ring size!

SF. This is my wife's 1.27 ctw from WF. her ring size 4.75 1.15ct.JPG

ok, so her stones go almost from edge to edge. I'm leaning towards a 7 stone so I don't see any metal on the side. I don't know, I'm torn. LOL!

Caysie’s working on a 7 stone for me at the moment. I love them for the reason you say - great coverage but without being over-the-top blingy, as I wanted an everyday wear ring.

Although, as DF’s wife ring shows, it looks like a 5 stone would give full coverage in the carat weight and finger size you’re looking at anyway!

I looked through the 5 stone and 7 stone show me the bling threads to get an idea of size when I was thinking. And the eternity thread is helpful too, if you just look at the stones on the top of people’s fingers to get an idea of coverage and scale down the carat weight.

Are you planning it for stand alone wear or with an engagement ring?

I had a 1ctw but sold it because it was pre PriceScope and the diamonds were meh....
When I replace it in the future I would like to get 1.25ctw. :D

Here is the only picture I have on my 4.5 finger.

I’m a size 5.5 (I usually wear a 6 due to swelling). I will be creating my own Anniversary Band with Vintage Cut Asschers from Yoram @ GemConcepts.
I was fortunate to have comparison rings available to try on, at my local jeweler, to determine proper size & proportion. The only issue I had was that the stones were round, and not Asschers.
Here is a proportion photo with my loose diamonds against my hand, below.
7 Vintage Cut Asschers. Total ctwt: 1.75ct. This ring will cover 3/4 of my finger, making it a 3/4 eternity:

@soxfan, you have probably seen these photos, before, but I wanted to add them for perspective. It’s also helpful to see the different cut, and how that impacts coverage. I’ll be honest, these 0.25ct babies are much larger against my hand than I expected them to be, especially since they’re Asschers, and typically do not face up as large as rounds.
I can’t wait to see what you decide!!

F49BCA6A-4ECA-453E-9DC9-3DFECD092F73.jpeg Excellent choice !!! I am sure you will love your 1.25 ring.

I have 1.15 in a custom bar setting and it gives me a full finger finger coverage on my 5.25 finger

Mine is exactly that. 4.5 size. 5 30 pointers to total 1.5. Can you look through my threads?

I guess it is all in the head :twisted2: and in the environment one is going to wear the ring.

When I was looking for 5 stone rings 30 pointers were just a tad too blingy for daily wear for my personal situation, but 23. pointers did it just right for me. And I started looking from 35. pointers... Go figure..

I was surprised when I tried on the 1 ct band. It was actually pretty big on my fingers. And it was a size 6, so when my ring is made in a size 4.5, the stones will look even bigger. I decided then and there that 1.5 ctw was going to be way too big, so I compromised and went for 1.25. Add in the fact that the stones from the jeweler weren't even that sparkly. The WF ones are going to be PLENTY of bling for me.
