I love it! I am soo happy with my new diamond and the setting from Brian Gavin diamonds. I decided to upgrade from my .97 E SI2 BGBlue this last December with funds from the sale of some other jewelry, and found a beautiful 1.48 BG Blue that would qualify for the upgrade program and fit my budget. I worked with Jamie and she was very helpful and responsive to my many questions. After I chose the stone, I sent my .97 E in the Grace setting back to them. I took what seemed like forever to decide on the setting. I hemmed and hawed over the Truth settings, and briefly thought about sending it to CVB for the six prong Jovyn, but in the end I decided it was too much work to send back and forth for what I see as small differences in setting design.
I finally decided on the six prong Classic tapered setting in Platinum. I asked for claw prongs and got the most delicate prongs they just disappear IRL. After my issues with the other Classic setting, I was a bit nervous to order the Classic, however I made a decision not to look for small imperfections in the setting if I could not see it with my naked eyes. It looks beautiful. I received the ring on Friday and am so impressed with the quality and the insane sparkle. At first I thought could see tint, but now I can't. It looks very white and is so clean I can't believe it's an SI. I can't see anything with my loupe. On the grading report the inclusions are around the edges and only tiny feather and needle under the table, so maybe that is why. It looks huge to me, and so very perfect! I can't imagine paying more for higher color or clarity, I love this sparkly thing to pieces!
The stone has strong blue fluorescence, as noted on the AGS report, but what I found out under the black light in my closet is that it is phosphorescent as well. It glows for about 20 seconds, slowly fading dark. I know fluor. is not everyone's cup of tea, let alone phosphorescence, but I think it is cool.
The specs:
1.482 I Si1 AGS 000
7.29-7.31 x 4.52mm
Brian Gavin Blue
Strong Blue fluor.
T 55.6
D 61.9
C 34.6
P 40.8
LH 76
