I love this stone! 1.45ct , from India. It is much more stunning in real life. I am thinking a rose gold halo with diamonds for it one day.

Very nice stone! Enjoy it!

That looks gorgeous - great color and color change and what looks to be translucency? A little drop of wonderful.

Sweet! CC Alex are very fun stones.

Thanks OTL, Minou and Chrono! It is translucent, yes! I need a setting for it that makes the stone look good even if the cat's eye is not present. Yvonne's Camellia setting could work with cc garnets or diamonds! :) It is a long way off from being set. Just happy to play with it for now! :)

I wondered how this one would look in-hand, and it doesn't disappoint. Nice job, ilovegemstones! :)

I must be falling behind, because I don't even remember seeing this on his website. And I have the nerve to call myself a PSer!

It's a cute stone, thanks for sharing.

DK

I love this stone, it would make for an awesome ring stone. I would put it in 18k yellow gold, I don't see it in rose gold.

Yes!

Hmm I will have to look at some cat's eye alex ring inspiration pics!

gorgeous color change

I think this will make a gorgeous ring, love this gem!! Unusual and beautiful.

Looking forward to seeing how you set it. Love the color change!

Very cool, it will look even better when it's set!!!

Wow! I don't normally go for alex (not really into the colors) nor for cats eyes (prefer stars) but this is absolutely gorgeous.. may have to rethink my policy on alex and cats eyes now.. :nono:

Re: metals, I think rose gold might work, but yellow gold could look absolutely luxurious. :appl: Either way you have a winner. :wavey:

Your photos look so much better than Brad's. Did you find it hard to capture the catseyes? I only have one cabbed gem with asterism (a rose quartz) and I find it awfully hard to see the star in real life (it only appears at certain angles under certain lighting) let alone photograph it.

It has a very sharp line and is really easy to photograph! Probably one of the sharpest out of my stones with asterism.

Sorry that was incorrect - it is one of the sharpest out of my stones with chatoyancy. :)

Thanks for all the compliments and input. I will post pics when it is set but it will be a long time!

A very beautiful example! I don't particularly like cat's eye anything, but this one is definitely an exception to my thinking! Enjoy it and I can't wait to see it set.

Ooooh! How did I miss this?? It's a stunning stone. Thanks for sharing.
