Hi All,

My boyfriend and I think we found a stone we love, we just looked at the GIA report and we want to better understand if it’s worth the price.

We were totally set on the stone until we noticed that there was a chip and also a significant amount of feathers. Does that mean the stone is compromised? We couldn’t see or feel a chip when we saw it in person. Also if down the line it cracked or got a larger chip is that something insurance would cover?

$4500

Fancy cuts and old cuts need video and pics to be judged since so much of how to choose one is based on the play of light. Do you have videos?

I feel like for that price, this stone is not lab created and it is actually earth mined.. you would get a lot more responses if this thread was moved to RockyTalky I think.

If this stone is actually lab created..... that price is no bueno in my books.

Just came here to say, I’m not by any means an expert. My antique stone has a chip that’s hidden under a prong. Also, it’s never gotten bigger after 10 years of daily wear.

Agree with @Mooshi... this stone sounds like it might be a natural diamond (not lab grown). You can use the Report Concern button and ask the mods to move it to the Rocky Tally forum.
