Im looking at the below stone and I would like a second take on this GIA stone...

Shape: Round
Color: H
Clarity: SI2
Carat: 1.33
Depth: 61.3%
Table: 57%
Polish: VG
Symmetry: VG
Measur: 7.02x7.07x4.32
Girdle: Then to slightly thick
Fluores: Strong Blue
GIA Comments: additional twinning wisps are not shown
GIA Cut: Very Good
Price: $5700
Please tell me what you think and if I should try to work the price down and by how much. Also, is Twinning bad? Looking to buy something within the week.

The first thing you should do is run the stats on the pricescope your diamond box at the top of the page. That will tell you the price of similiar diamonds on the net.

AS for your other question - I am sure an expert will chime in on Twinning.

Didn''t you already post this stone and get some info?

Read your other thread, I agree with Kcoursolle.

Here''s the other thread in case you lost it:

We still need crown and pavillion angles

Sorry about that, here is the Crown and Pavilion:

Crown Angle: 35.5%
Crown Height: 15.5%

Pavilion Angle: 40.4%
Pavilion Depth: 42.5%

Your stone scores a 0.8 on the HCA which is very good. It is excellent in all categories except spread, meaning that it might look a bit smaller face up than it should, but not by much.

You NEED to ask if the stone is eyeclean and what the inclusions are like if you haven't seen the certificate. Make sure there are no durability issues with the inclusions, and also make sure to ask if the flour. affects the stone negatively. If you're working with a good PS vendor they should be able to tell you all this with no problem.

If you like the answers you get, this stone would be a fine choice. Another nice thing would be to see pictures, an ASET, or an Idealscope before purchase to make sure the inclusions aren't negatively affecting the light return and that the light return is good.

If you want to compare prices, use the search by cut function above under PRICES and you'll be able to see what other stones like it are going for. It certainly doesn't seem like a bad price to me, but I haven't done a lot of research on those specific specs.

Thanks for posting the crown and pavillion info. The cut looks pretty nice on this stone, it should be fine. Is it eye-clean? Some SI2''s are and some are not. Ask the vendor to eyeball it for you and ask them their definition of what eye clean is to them.
