Hey everyone,

I'm soooo excited...got my antique cushion today and it is gorgeous. Want to thank Adam at Old World Diamonds. He is such a dream to work with. I've only got 3 pics that I quickly snapped to share with you.

@ Brina - I am going to try to do a ring similar to Haven's (with her permission of course ::) ). I was in contact w/Matt at Burdeen's who was really great to *talk* to, but unfortunately, for them to recreate the ring Haven has was just out of my budget at this time. He did give me the idea of perhaps trading in my old engagement ring for my jeweler to make one similar to Haven's. I'm not sure about the difference between OMC and Cushion, but I think that OMC's were intended to be more round while cushions were cut more rectangular to square shape.

I'm bummed to hear that the setting will be too costly for you at Burdeen's, but I am sure that your stone is going to SHINE (and sparkle, and scintilate) in whatever setting you choose!

I'm bummed too. ;( We'll see...I may wait until it's in my budget, but that's going to be hard for me.
 
unicorn64! This is my old stone! i just gave it back to Adam about 3-4 moths ago. it has to be it the specs r exact!

About the setting ~ I went to my jeweler today and she gave me a full price trade in for my old engagement ring setting. She is making me a rose gold setting that is a hybrid of Haven's and Krosha's. For those of you who haven't seen them, I'm attaching pics.

I used Kroshka's ring as one of the inspirations for my ring! How funny.

It is going to look amazing, I can't wait to see it! I'm so excited to see another OMC in rose gold!

Haven ~ I'm excited too! Can't wait to see it when it's done. That is too funny that we both used Kroshka's ring as inspiration.

i sure does Unicorn! i knew it would get snapped up quickly, it is a beauty isnt she? i enjoyed her for 2 yrs before upgrading to my final 1.62 which looks exactly like her but a little bigger. Look up my posts while signed in i have beautiful close up pictures of your new/my old stone. im sure you'll enjoy them : ). Wear it in good health and i can't wait to see her finished home which promises to be gorgeous!
