1.2ct vs .78ct- comparison of my upgrade

I posted awhile ago wondering if I'd see a difference between a 5.8mm stone vs a 6.8mm one. I decided to go for it; here is the final product. It's in the same trellis setting with the same side stones of .83ctw.

I also got a new wedding band reminiscent of the lace band. And, one more shot of the ering in my car's passenger mirror.

I love the new center stone! Sure, it looks similar. But the oomph is way more! Like, comparing Marilyn Monroe is 7-year itch to Some Like it Hot -- both gorgeous, but the latter is plumper and more VAVAVOOM!

And, I'm going to say it -- told you so! haha... I knew it would be an amazing upgrade. I am totally jealous and this makes me revisit my idea of making my own ring into a three stone.

I can tell a little bit, but I'm not overwhelmed by the size diference. Maybe it's because everything else remained the same? Same setting, same sidestones?

Thanks! The new band is 2.5mm, whereas my original wedding ring is 2 or 2.1mm.

I can definitely see the difference. While your original ring was beautiful, it looked more like a band of bling. I think the proportions and balance is much nicer in your new ring. It really makes the center stone pop. If you want to appreciate the size difference, have a friend try it on so you can see it. For some reason, I find that my rings look smaller when I look at it on my own hand than when I see it on someone else. {go figure}.
